Intended use:

Lumitester PD-30 with use of LuciPac®Pen  allows rapid detection of food and microbial related residues on product contact surfaces as a monitoring tool for the effectiveness of implemented cleaning and disinfection. The quantitative detection of the intra- and extracellular Adenosine Triphosphates (ATP) as well as Adenosine Monophosphate (AMP) is carried out in the portable luminometer Lumitester PD-30. The instruments are not part of the test kit LuciPac®Pen .

General Information:

The energy stored within the ATP molecule is released as light by splitting of ATP to AMP (Adenosine Monophosphate). The light can be measured quantitatively and corresponds with the ATP level. The reaction uses the enzyme luciferase from the well-known organism firefly:

Luciferin + Luciferase + ATP (Luciferin-Luciferase-AMP) + Pyrophosphate
(Luciferin-Luciferase-AMP) Oxyluciferin + Luciferase + CO2 + AMP+ Light

Via the integrated AMP-recycling system based on Pyruvate-Phosphate Dikinase (PPDK) AMP could be detected as well as ATP on the surfaces. Therefore the test is more sensitive as cleaning control then other ATP systems.

Comment:

New!
Identity of sampling sides can be stored and shown directly on the display of the device! Individual sampling plans can be set up and stored via PC compatible software!
Temperature controlled measurement is possible, now!

(Features are not available for older Lumitester models!)
