Description
Intended use:
The test detects the relative quantitative Bt176-Corn DNA amount.
Therefore the kit contains two PCR systems, one construct specific for the Bt176-Corn (OECD unique identifier SYN-EV176-9) and the other one specific for Corn (reference system).
General Information:
The real-time PCR assay can be used with established real-time PCR instruments (Roche LightCycler®, Rotor-Gene Q, ABI 7500, BioRad CFX96, Stratagene MxSeries etc.).

| LOD (Detection limit) | The Bt176-Corn PCR has a limit of detection of ≤ 5 DNA-copies. The assay limit of detection depends on sample matrix, processing grade, DNA-preparation and DNA-content. The limit of quantitation depends on the concentration of the sample DNA used in the analysis. For example, if 50,000 target-sequence copies of Corn specific reference gene are present, the relative quantitation limit for Bt176-Corn DNA is 0.1 %. |
