The real-time PCR test detects DNA of apricot (Prunus armenica). Each reaction contains an internal amplification control (IAC).
The real-time PCR assay can be used with commonly used real-time PCR instruments, equipped for the detection of two fluorescence emissions at 510 nm and 580 nm at the same time. Internal validation was performed Agilent Mx3005P, Agilent Aria Dx, Applied Biosystems 7500, BioRad CFX96, R-Biopharm RIDA®CYCLER, Roche LightCycler® 480 II, Roche cobas z 480 Analyzer, Qiagen Rotor-Gene Q and LTF MyGo Pro.
|Test format||100 reactions|
|Sample preparation||For DNA-preparation of raw material the use of SureFood® PREP Basic and for highly processed food and feed the use of SureFood® PREP Advanced is recommended.|
|LOD (Detection limit)||≤ 5 DNA copies|
|Cross reactivity||Cross reactivity was observed with DNA extracts from peach (Prunus persica) of 100 %, plum (Prunus domestica) of 0.9 %, from sour cherry (Prunus cerasus) of 0.6 %, from sweet cherry (Prunus avium) of 5.1 %, from mahaleb cherry (Prunus mahaleb) of 0.2 % and from purple apricot (Prunus dasycarpa) of 100 %.|
|Evaluation||Real-time PCR instrument with two detection channels (510 nm and 580 nm)|
