The test detects the relative quantitative Roundup Ready Soya DNA amount (RR-Soya).
Therefore the kit contains two PCR systems, one specific for the Roundup Ready Soya (OECD unique identifier MON-Ø4Ø32-6) and the other one specific for Soya (reference system). The construct specific GMO detection is according to the official collection of detection methods of §64 German food law.
The real-time PCR assay can be used with established real-time PCR instruments. The technical validation of instruments was performed on Agilent Mx3005P, Agilent AriaDx, BioRad CFX96, Roche LightCycler®480 II/ Roche cobas z Analyzer, Qiagen Rotor-Gene Q, Applied Biosystems 7500.

|Sample preparation||For DNA-preparation of raw material the use of SureFood® PREP Basic (S1052) and for highly processed food and feed the use of SureFood® PREP Advanced (S1053) is recommended.|
|LOD (Detection limit)||The Roundup Ready Soya PCR has a limit of detection of ≤ 5 DNA-copies. The assay limit of detection depends on sample matrix, processing grade, DNA-preparation and DNA-content. The limit of quantitation depends on the concentration of the sample DNA used in the analysis. For example, if 50,000 target-sequence copies of Soya specific reference gene are present, the relative quantitation limit for Roundup Ready Soya DNA is 0.1 %.|
