Description
Intended use:
RIDASCREEN®FAST DON SC is a competitive enzyme immunoassay for the quantitative determination of DON in cereals, malt and feed with a sinlge control standard curve.
General Information:
Deoxynivalenol (DON) belongs to the trichothecene group of mycotoxins and is formed by fungi of the genus Fusarium. DON often occurs in plant products particularly in cereals. Of the trichothecene mycotoxins deoxynivalenol, 3-acetyl- and 15-acetyl-deoxynivalenol are the most frequently occurring toxins in Europe and Northern America. The toxin concentrations found in wheat, corn or rice are often in the mg/kg (ppm) range. Due to their high cytotoxic and immunosuppressive properties these toxins pose a risk to human and animal health.
Benefits:
- Rapid Only 8 min incubation time.
- Cost-efficient Background check with only one well instead of complete standard curve. The values for the further standards are delivered with the test kit.
Comment:
Only standard 1 (zero standard) is included in the test kit.
For calculation of results with the standard curve the measured absorbance for standard 1 (0 ppb) as well as the B/B0 values for standards 2 – 8 (0.074, 0.222, 0.666, 1.333, 2, 4, and 6 ppm) provided with the QS-certificate are needed.
